In overall panchakarma treatment “Basti treatment” is prime. For that sake only, Acharya’s mentioned this is half treatment, complete treatment and some named it as Prime treatment.
Because here mainly-

Basti treatment is different from Vamana-Virechana.

* Yoga Basti= Administer in 8 days
* Kala Basti = Administer in 15 days
* Karma Basti = Administer in 30 days
Specialties:
Vamana virechana treatments only expel the vitiated doshas from the body, those are known as Shodhana.
But, Basti treatment acts as Shodhana, Shamana, Poshana (nourish). That means, it can expel the vitiated doshas, and it can convert them and it can again use those for nourishment. That much potential is Basti treatment.
Like that, As Basthi treatment works at that base level, it does corrections from the hormonal level, and it does correct the impairments from the psychological level and it gives long term solutions immediately without any complications.
Which is the best time for the Swastha Basti treatment:

Swastha vrittam abhiprayeth ……….35
